At the risk of showing my age, I still remember laying something up for print to be DL, A4 or .. if things were getting really crazy… A2! Things have certainly changed.
Today, a question we quite often get is, when designing a label, sign or large format print, what size and shape restrictions do I need to consider?
From seriously small to seriously large and all the odd shapes in between, the answer is …(almost) none!
When it comes to very large format, falling into the domain of signage, such as wallpapers and building signage, manufacture and installation techniques limit the size of the print to something more practical to handle.
For stickers and labels, go ahead and pick the exact size you want, rather than choosing from a generic shape/size.
The only real limitations are dictated by your content. Make sure that there is enough room on your label to print the content you need and for it to still be legible.
